Your complete guide to using TechAge CBT Platform

Welcome to TechAge CBT!

This guide will help you get started with the platform in just a few minutes.

First Time Login

Your administrator will provide you with login credentials. Here's how to access the platform:

  1. Open your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari)
  2. Navigate to the platform URL provided by your school
  3. Enter your email address in the email field
  4. Enter your password (case-sensitive)
  5. Click "Sign In" to access your dashboard

First Time Users

If this is your first login, you may be prompted to change your password. Choose a strong password that you'll remember.

Pro Tip

Bookmark the login page for quick access. You can also save your password in your browser's password manager for convenience.

Understanding Your Dashboard

After logging in, you'll see your personalized dashboard. The dashboard shows different information based on your role:

Student Dashboard

  • Upcoming Exams: See all scheduled exams and their status
  • Recent Results: View your latest exam scores
  • Quick Stats: Total exams taken, average score, rank
  • Practice Mode: Access practice questions to prepare

Teacher Dashboard

  • Assigned Exams: Exams you're responsible for
  • Question Bank: Total questions you've created
  • Quick Actions: Add questions, generate with AI, import CSV
  • Recent Activity: Latest changes to your questions

Administrator Dashboard

  • System Overview: Total users, exams, questions
  • Active Exams: Currently running exams
  • Recent Registrations: New student enrollments
  • Analytics: Platform usage statistics

Navigation

Use the sidebar (Admin/Teacher) or top navigation bar (Student) to access different sections of the platform. Your profile menu is in the top-right corner.

Setting Up Your Profile

Customize your profile to personalize your experience:

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
  2. Select "Profile" from the dropdown menu
  3. Update your information:
    • Full name
    • Email address
    • Phone number (optional)
    • Profile picture (if available)
  4. Change your password if needed
  5. Save your changes

Important

Some profile fields may be locked by your administrator. Contact them if you need to update restricted information.

Quick Start by Role

Follow these quick start guides based on your role:

For Students

  1. Check "My Exams" to see upcoming tests
  2. Use "Practice Mode" to prepare for exams
  3. When exam is live, click "Start Exam"
  4. Answer all questions before time runs out
  5. Submit your exam when finished
  6. View results in the "Results" section

Student Tips

• Arrive 5-10 minutes early for exams
• Close all other browser tabs before starting
• Don't switch tabs during exam (max 3 switches allowed)
• Your answers are auto-saved as you go

For Teachers

  1. Go to "Questions" in the sidebar
  2. Click "Add Question" to create new questions
  3. Or use "AI Generator" for quick question creation
  4. Or "Import CSV" for bulk uploads
  5. Check "My Assignments" to see your exams
  6. Add questions to exam subjects as assigned

Teacher Tips

• Create questions in advance, not last minute
• Use topics and difficulty levels to organize questions
• Review AI-generated questions before adding to exams
• Download the CSV sample file for bulk imports

For Administrators

  1. Set up users: Add students, teachers, and admins
  2. Create subjects: Define subjects for your curriculum
  3. Create exams: Set up exam details and schedule
  4. Assign teachers: Link teachers to exam subjects
  5. Register students: Enroll students for exams
  6. Make exam live: Activate when ready
  7. Monitor progress: Track exam completion
  8. Release results: Publish scores to students

Admin Tips

• Use bulk import for large student batches
• Verify questions exist before making exam live
• Monitor the "Logs" section for system activity
• Check analytics regularly for insights
