Everything you need to know about taking exams and viewing results

1. Getting Started

1.1 Logging In

Steps:

  1. Go to: https://cbt.techageinnovations.com
  2. Enter your email or registration number
  3. Enter your password
  4. Click "Login"
First Time Login: Your default password is usually "Student@123". Change it immediately after first login.

1.2 Changing Your Password

  1. Click on your name (top right)
  2. Select "Profile"
  3. Go to "Change Password" tab
  4. Enter current password
  5. Enter new password (minimum 6 characters)
  6. Confirm new password
  7. Click "Change Password"

2. Understanding Your Dashboard

2.1 Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard shows:

  • Upcoming Exams: Exams you're registered for
  • Exams Completed: How many exams you've taken
  • Practice Sessions: Your practice activity
  • Best Score: Your highest exam percentage

2.2 Exam Status Badges

  • Scheduled: Exam is coming, not yet started
  • LIVE: Exam is currently active, you can start
  • In Progress: You've started but not finished
  • Done: You've completed the exam

3. Taking an Exam

3.1 Starting an Exam

Steps:

  1. Wait for exam to become LIVE
  2. Click "Start Now" button
  3. Read the instructions carefully
  4. Click "Start Exam" to begin
  5. Timer starts immediately
Important: Once you start, the timer cannot be paused. Make sure you're ready before clicking "Start Exam".

3.2 Answering Questions

  1. Read the question carefully
  2. Select your answer (A, B, C, or D)
  3. Your answer is saved automatically
  4. Click "Next" to move to next question
  5. Click "Previous" to go back

3.3 Question Navigator

The question navigator shows:

  • Green: Answered questions
  • Gray: Unanswered questions
  • Current: Highlighted question

Click any question number to jump to that question.

3.4 Submitting Your Exam

Steps:

  1. Review all your answers
  2. Check for unanswered questions
  3. Click "Submit Exam" button
  4. Confirm submission
  5. You'll see a confirmation message
Warning: Once submitted, you cannot change your answers. Make sure you're ready!

4. Exam Rules & Guidelines

4.1 Tab Switching Policy

CRITICAL RULE: Do NOT switch away from the exam tab. After 3 tab switches, your exam will be automatically submitted!

What counts as tab switching:

  • Switching to another browser tab
  • Switching to another application
  • Minimizing the browser
  • Opening a new window

4.2 Internet Connection

  • Maintain stable internet throughout
  • Answers are saved automatically
  • If disconnected, reconnect quickly
  • Timer continues even if disconnected

4.3 Time Management

  • Watch the timer at the top
  • Allocate time per question
  • Don't spend too long on one question
  • Mark difficult questions and return later
  • Leave time to review at the end

4.4 What Happens When Time Runs Out

  • Exam automatically submits
  • All answered questions are saved
  • Unanswered questions score zero
  • No extensions are given

5. Practice Mode

5.1 What is Practice Mode?

Practice Mode lets you:

  • Practice questions by subject
  • No time limit
  • See correct answers immediately
  • Track your progress
  • Improve before real exams

5.2 Starting a Practice Session

Steps:

  1. Go to "Practice" from sidebar
  2. Select a subject
  3. Choose number of questions (5, 10, 15, or 20)
  4. Click "Start Practice"
  5. Answer questions at your own pace
  6. See results immediately
Tip: Practice regularly to improve your performance in real exams!

6. Viewing Your Results

6.1 When Results Are Available

Results are released by your teacher/administrator after:

  • All students complete the exam
  • Marking is finished
  • Results are reviewed

6.2 Accessing Your Results

Steps:

  1. Go to "Results" from sidebar
  2. Find your exam in the list
  3. Click "View Details"
  4. See your:
    • Total score
    • Percentage
    • Grade
    • Time taken
    • Question-by-question breakdown

6.3 Understanding Your Grade

  • A (70-100%): Excellent
  • B (60-69%): Very Good
  • C (50-59%): Good
  • D (45-49%): Pass
  • F (0-44%): Fail

6.4 Reviewing Your Answers

In the detailed results, you can see:

  • Each question you answered
  • Your selected answer
  • The correct answer
  • Whether you got it right or wrong

7. Leaderboard

7.1 What is the Leaderboard?

The leaderboard shows top-performing students based on:

  • Exam scores
  • Overall performance
  • Class rankings

7.2 Viewing the Leaderboard

  1. Go to "Leaderboard" from sidebar
  2. See top students
  3. Filter by exam or class
  4. Find your position
Motivation: Use the leaderboard as motivation to improve your performance!

8. Exam Success Tips

8.1 Before the Exam

  • Study well in advance
  • Use Practice Mode to prepare
  • Get enough sleep the night before
  • Eat a good meal before exam
  • Check your internet connection
  • Close unnecessary applications
  • Have a backup device ready

8.2 During the Exam

  • Read instructions carefully
  • Read each question twice
  • Answer easy questions first
  • Don't spend too long on one question
  • Eliminate obviously wrong answers
  • Stay focused on the exam tab
  • Keep an eye on the timer
  • Review answers before submitting

8.3 Technical Tips

  • Use a laptop/desktop (better than phone)
  • Use Chrome or Firefox browser
  • Clear browser cache before exam
  • Disable browser extensions
  • Close other tabs and applications
  • Ensure device is fully charged

9. Troubleshooting

Issue: Can't see my exam

Solutions:

  • Check if you're registered for the exam
  • Verify exam date and time
  • Refresh the page
  • Contact your teacher

Issue: Lost internet during exam

Solutions:

  • Don't panic - answers are auto-saved
  • Reconnect as quickly as possible
  • Refresh the page
  • Continue from where you left off
  • Note: Timer continues running

Issue: Exam auto-submitted

Possible Reasons:

  • Time ran out
  • Exceeded 3 tab switches
  • Internet disconnection (rare)

What to do:

  • Check your results when released
  • Contact teacher if you believe it was an error

Issue: Can't submit exam

Solutions:

  • Check internet connection
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Click submit button again
  • Wait for time to run out (auto-submit)
